2011 Trip Overview

Check out the flyers linked below for information and applications/registrations for our upcoming trips. Be sure to return the filled out form with your deposit check to ease the organizers record keeping. Remember that deposits are fully refundable until the dates stated on the flyers so that your deposit essentially saves your space before the trip fills up.

MT. SNOW UPDATE – 7/3/2010: The Mt. Snow ski trip has 72 folks deposited and 38 of the 40 rooms available are now reserved. Reservations are only taken with a deposit of $100.00 per person along with a filled out and signed trip reservation form. Should the trip be sold out, your deposit reserves your space on the waiting list. Last year, ten cancellations gave waiting list folks a fun trip. All deposits are fully refundable until mid December and waiting list deposits that go unused will be fully refunded.

UPDATE – 6/22/10 – The Mount Snow trip was announced last week, only to those who attended last year, and is presently half filled. You will need to deposit for this trip very soon, as we are again limited to 40 rooms to fill the Inn. All trip costs listed are for double occupancy, except the Sugarloaf trip, which is condo lodging.

Mt Bachelor -  January 15 to 22 -  $1095.00 includes air, lodging, 5 day lifts, transfers, welcome reception and full breakfasts – Mike Dziubkowski and I will be running this WPSC trip. Neither of us has “skied the Volcano”, but we hear from folks who have, that it is an excellent trip area. It is very reasonable and our earliest trip of the year.

Mount Snow – January 30 to Feb. 4 – $586.00 is the very economical cost for our second WPSC trip of the season and it includes bus transportation, arrival and departure parties, 5 breakfasts and 5 evening meals (including steak or lobster on Thursday), a day of skiing at Bromley with a catered lunch included, 5 night’s lodging and five days of skiing. This year’s trip will be our 12th to Mt. Snow and the trip becomes more popular each year – ask someone who has attended previously. 55 passenger buses are limited to 40 passengers or less to assure lots of space and comfort. The trip is so inexpensive that we frequently have quite a few non-skiers along for the restfull vacation.

Sugarloaf - February 6 to 11 – $720.00 covers Der Sitzmark Ski Club’s annual outing to Sugarloaf, Maine. Air, bus transfers, condo lodging,  5 days of lift tickets, and a welcome party are all included. Sugarloaf is my favorite eastern ski area due to the above tree line skiing, excellent grooming and long runs.

Alyeska, Alaska - February 26th to March 5th – $1620.00 includes 7 night’s lodging,(6 nights at the 4 diamond Aleska Resort), air, transfers, 4 days of lift passes, orientation breakfast and a day in Anchorage for the staging of the Iditarod. This is the WPSC’s third trip of the season and will be handled by Mike Dziubkowski.

North Lake Tahoe – March 5th to 13th – Walt Prest and the Meadville Ski Club are running this trip with a cost per person of $1395.00 or less. Air is included at present, but we are trying for Southwest airlines, whose schedule will not be released until September. We expect around $100.00 less cost for air, but included at this time are 7 night’s lodging and 5 day lift tickets at four ski areas (Squaw, Mt. Rose, Alpine Meadows and Northstar at Tahoe. Private motorcoach for transfers, a $10.00 spa credit and daily breakfast are also included. Land only cost is $906.00. This will be a vacation to remember, for sure
